What is Mobile Universe Residential Internet service and where is it available?
Our service is two-way, always-on, high-speed Internet service via satellite delivered to homes and offices everywhere in Puerto Rico, Vieques and Culebra..

How does Mobile Universe compare with other satellite-delivered Internet systems?
Our service is a true always-on
Internet service that both receives and transmits Internet
content over satellite at high speeds. Unlike our satellite
Internet competitors, we do not require consumers
to tie up their phone line or retain a separate Internet service
provider. We do not put any FAP (Fair Access Policy) restrictions like most other providers do. Your service is never intentially slowed-down because of your usage. There are no limits on how much data you can download.
Mobile Universe services cater to what today's Internet
customers say they want - a high-speed, always-on connection
to the Internet that doesn't require a telephone connection.
Instead of having to deal with multiple service providers,
multiple bills, busy telephone lines and slow transmission
speeds, Mobile Universe offers one-stop Internet service packages. |

| How does the Mobile Universe Residential service
compare to Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) and cable modems? |
| Mobile Universe Satellite Service, like DSL and
cable modems, provides an always-on, high-speed connection
to the Internet. However, unlike DSL and cable modem services,
which are limited in availability, our service is available
virtually everywhere in
Puerto Rico, Vieques and Culebra — even in remote
areas. If you can see the caribbean sky, you
can get Mobile Universe Satellite Service. |

| How does Mobile Universe Residential service compare
with standard dial-up Internet access? |
| Mobile Universe provides always-on broadband
Internet access that can download much faster
than dial-up service. Mobile Universe does not require users to dial-in
for access. You don't need a phone line to use Mobile Universe services. |

What equipment is neccesary for this service?
We supply all the equipment needed, at no cost to you. There is nothing to purchase. We provide and install a satellite dish at your location and the Linkstar broadband satellite router.

How many concurrent computers can I connect to this system?
You can connect as many computers as you want. The bandwidth provided will be shared between all of your computers, and the number of users concurrently downloading will determine the speed each user acheives. The router has an ethernet port for your internet connection. You can connect this directly to your computer's ethernet interface, or you can connect a multiple port router to provide internet to more devices simultaneously. You can even connect it to a wireless router, and be able to surf the internet with your laptop wirelessly throughout your home!

What is included in the installation?
The installer will put in place the outdoor equipment, run the cable and connect the satellite router, and test the system for Internet access.

How often can I use my internet services?
Always. If you computer is turned on, you are online and you have internet access. There are no "per-minute" fees, no dialing up, and no "idle disconnects".

Is a telephone connection connection required?
No. There is no phone line or dial-up data modem required to use your Mobile Universe services.

What effect does weather have on the service?
It takes a pretty heavy storm to interfere with or block transmissions. User studies suggest 8-12 outages per year with a four- to five-minute duration per outage. This is not satellite TV. Satellite TV systems use much smaller dishes and therefore suffer more weather-related outages. The technical term for this is "rain fade."

Can a subscriber use any email program (Outlook, Eudora, etc.)?
Yes. All major email programs work with satellite internet technology.

How long does it take to install the service?
The actual installation typically takes 3-6 hours. Service is subject to equipment availability and unexpected shipping delays.

Does the system support voice telephone service (VoIP)?
Yes, the system supports VoIP (voice Over Internet Protocol) in the same manner as it supports other Internet applications. Since the satellite signal needs to travel to the satellite and back to earth, there is a slight delay in the signal. This is called latency, and there will be a slight delay (like you see in CNN satellite interviews).

What is the difference between business service plans and the consumer residential service plans?
The Small Office and Business Internet service plans provide larger transmission resources than the Residential plan. As such, they provide a higher level of overall performance for a multi-user, business environment.

Can anyone physically install the dish?
No. The dish is fairly complicated and cannot be installed by the consumer. Our professional Installers make your installation come off without a hitch.

Why does my system need to be professionally installed?
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requires that only trained professionals install any two-way satellite system.

Is there a Service Level Agreement (SLA)?
The Internet via satellite service is provided on a best-effort basis. Uptime is above 99.5% but can be affected by weather and other factors.

Are there cancellation fees?
A service agreement term is required. Customers not completing their contract's minimum term commitment will be charged for the remaining time left in the contract term.
